December is now upon us, and that can only mean one thing …Christmas is just around the corner! Although many people fly home, many stay and celebrate Christmas in Singapore. And staying doesn’t mean you have to miss out on having the traditional Christmas blow-out and having a merry old time!

Christmas traditions, Singapore icons
For a beautiful Christmas lunch, you can’t beat The Fullerton. They always go all out with their Christmas decorations, and this year is no exception. It’s also a wonderful way to merge traditional Christmas traditions with iconic Singapore.
The Town Restaurant is offering a Christmas Day Champagne Dinner with roast prime rib of US beef with Yorkshire pudding and honey-glazed Champagne ham, as well as the classic roast turkey. Town Restaurant is also laying a Christmas Day Champagne Brunch with 100 culinary highlights and a bouncy castle to keep little ones entertained.
If you want to mix East and West this Christmas, check out Jade Restaurant for fusion dishes such as pan-fried turkey with Chinese pepper rosemary sauce. Check all The Fullerton’s festive menus here.
Christmas Champagne Brunch at Town starts at $308++ for adults (includes free-flow champagne, cocktails and wine), $248++ without alcohol, and $108++ for children. Dinner at Town Restaurant prices start at $168++ for adults and $108++ for children. Jade Restaurant prices start at $98++.
Making merry by the Marina
Just along the Marina, is the beautiful Fullerton Bay Hotel. At the Clifford Pier, overlooking the Marina, you can celebrate the festive season with rosemary and garlic roasted lamb leg, roasted turkey with gravy and cranberry chutney, and Manuka honey glazed ham. For sweet treats there’s bread and butter pudding, and traditional Yule logs.
If you want to push the boat out, La Brasserie is offering a degustation menu featuring marinated prawns, seared Wagyu beef tenderloin with truffle, and a Mont Blanc for dessert.
Prices at Clifford Pier start from $148++ for adults, and $78++ for children. La Brasserie prices start from $138++ per person
A Colonial Christmas
Raffles Hotel has something for everyone, with all of their dining options offering Christmas specialities. What caught our eye was the Christmas buffet spread at the Bar & Billiard Room offered for both brunch and dinner.It’s an absolutely enormous menu with literally something for everyone.
Particular Christmas dishes include turkey stuffed with chestnuts, Brussel sprouts with bacon, glazed ham, followed dessert options including traditional chocolate log cakes, Christmas fruit cake, stollen and egg nog pudding. You’ll definitely need a taxi to get you home after all that!
Prices are $268-$288 for adults (including champagne) and $118 for children under 12.

For something a bit different, check out Pollen, housed in the beautiful Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay. Their festive set menu includes foie gras parfait, New Zealand hake, a choice of venison loin with dark chocolate or roasted turkey with traditional trimmings, followed by a pumpkin, cranberry and cherry dessert.
After dinner, you can take a stroll through the stunning Christmas floral displays inside the Flower Dome.
Prices are $150++ with a $160++ for the wine pairing.
If celebrating Christmas means enjoying la dolce vita, check out Alkaff Mansion, a stunning Italian restaurant perched high above the city at Mount Faber. They’re offering both a buffet brunch and set dinner for Christmas. Christmas brunch is a buffet including a large selection of cheeses, cold cuts (including Wagyu beef carpaccio), saffron risotto with black truffle, octopus, and grilled pork belly.
Christmas dinner is a 4 course set dinner, featuring a trio of starters, saffron risotto with sea urchin and scampi, Wagyu striploin with asparagus and black truffle, followed by chocolate lava cake.
Whatever option you go for, walking it all off along the Henderson Waves is definitely an option with this tucked away location.
The Christmas brunch buffet runs from 11.30am to 3pm, and costs $128++ for adults, and $58++ for under 12’s. The 4-course Christmas dinner is at 7pm and is $138++ for adults.
If you want to celebrate Christmas surrounded by stunning greenery then have a look at Halia at Botanic Gardens. Their Christmas menu combines traditional dishes with Singapore favourites. They offer 3 different seating times, so you can visit at a time which suits you and your family best.
Their menu features live carving stations with roast turkey, Javanese spiced lamb, chilli crab pasta, slow cooked duck with ginger and hoi sin sauce, poached halibut with leek, soy and mirin. Sweet treats include raspberry panna cotta, chocolate orange yule log, and Christmas pudding with brandy cream.
Prices are $108++ to $138++ for adults, depending on if you include alcohol, and $48++ for children.
Christmas in the Chapel
Escape the concrete jungle and check out the White Rabbit for a magical Christmas lunch. Set in a beautifully restored 1930’s chapel, the White Rabbit is certainly a venue with a difference. Their menu offers a buffet selection of starters, including a live carving station with honey-glazed ham and prime beef ribs, followed by mains including guinea fowl, barramundi and oxtail. Desserts include a Chestnut log cake, gingerbread cookies and Christmas fruit cake.
Prices are $98++ to $108++ for adults, and $48++ for children.
